Wilma Dean Callen Stewart 78 of Dalhart passed away Saturday, April 22. She spent her last days surrounded by her family and friends
Services were held on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Denver Ave Church of Christ. Burial did follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, under the care of Horizon Funeral Home.
Wilma Callen was born January 20, 1939 in Plainview, OK to Coy C Callen and Nancy Iona Hamilton Callen. She Married Randall D Stewart on June 29, 1957 in Erick, OK. She graduated from Erick High School in 1957.
She is survived by her husband, 3 children Valerie Marshall, Lubbock, TX, Randy Stewart (Denise), Odessa, TX, Richey Stewart, Lubbock, TX. 7 grandchildren Dane Stewart (Aubree), Zane Stewart (Whitney), Clay Hill, Callen Stewart, Coy Stewart, Destini King (Rusty), Alisyn Crawford, 8 great grand kids and one on the way, one sister Wanda York of Snyder and several nieces and nephews and a host friends.
Randall and Wilma raised their children in Dalhart and have lived there for 59 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. They were long time members of the Denver Ave Church of Christ. For over 20years she owned and operated Wilmas Ladies Wear. She loved playing bridge and watching her kids and grandkids play sports and any other extra-curricular activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lamoin Callen, brother Thorvell Callen, sister Jewell Callen and her twin sister Norma Callen Beasley.
