William "Billy" Thomas Thorne Jr., 50, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 21, 2019. He was born in Columbia, Missouri, March 23rd, 1969 to Bill and Nina Thorne. Billy married Susan Green on January 9, 1991, in Las Vegas where they started their lifetime of adventures together. He is survived by his wife Susan Thorne, parents, Bill and Nina Thorne, sister, Kelley Bateman and her husband John Bateman, two nieces, Katie Kneale and her husband John Kneale, and Jordan Bateman. Billy left this world with more laughter, which is the best cure for anything. Fun is so underrated in the world we live in today. Billy was relentless in chasing his dreams on his own terms and without fear of judgement. Two of Billys great accomplishments were winning the All-Around Award in The Texas Club Calf Association and being named Grand Champion Steer at Houston Livestock Show. He later fulfilled his dreams of being a chef and opened a restaurant with Susan known as the Xtreme Cuisine. He loved fiercely and deeply. Billy had a contagious sense of humor that would fill any room with an overwhelming spirit of joy. He had a heart bigger than his humor. Billy was a member of the Episcopal Church and loved The Lord with all his heart. Gods faithfulness is everlasting, He is here, He is good, He loves us, and He heals. This world is hard and scary, and it is also phenomenal and glorious. Billy cherished his tribe and wanted everyone to win in their own race of life unapologetically. Billy is what the world needs more of: truth, fun, freedom to live your truth, love, and laughter. Memorial Services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday November 25th, 2019 at St. James Episcopal Church of Dalhart. Father Phil Ray officiated.
