William was raised and attended schools in San Angelo, TX. A U.S. Army Veteran he and Sue moved to Dalhart in 1961. Mr. McCrite worked for many years for the Dalhart Co-op. Survivors include his four Children Andy, James, Vicki and Janie 2 sisters: Margaret Stracener and Helen Fitzgerald and a brother Steve HoggPreceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol Sue.
