William Bill Mahanay, 79, died on Thursday, May 1, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday May 5, 2008 at the Liberty Baptist Church with Dan Martin, Pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church of Dalhart officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. William H. Bill Mahanay was born December 4, 1928 to Preston and Beulah (Sanders) Mahanay in Beaver, OK. He graduated high school in Beaver, OK in 1947. Bill married Lois Boydstun on February 17, 1948 in Beaver, OK. Lois and Bill moved from Elkhart, Kansas to Dalhart on July 4, 1964. Bill owned Bills TV Clinic in Dalhart. He loved fishing, golf, reading and computers. Bill was a past member of the Dalhart Rotary Club and The Masonic Lodge.Survivors include his Wife- Lois Mahanay of Dalhart, TX. Daughters- Sherry Quimby and her husband Jim of Guymon, OK, Diana Callis and her husband Darrell of Amarillo, TX, Four (4) Grandchildren- Capt. Brent Callis and his wife Karen of Moline, Il, Ryan Callis and his wife April of Amarillo, TX, Daniel Eric Kimsey and his wife Danette of Steamboat Springs, CO and Lacy Clark and her husband Bobby of Amarillo, TX.and Seven Great-Grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister.the family requests memorials to: Liberty Baptist Church - 12020 US Highway 87 S.
