MacKenzie of St. James Episcopal Church.William Edgar Hurtt, Jr., born August 16, 1928 in Roswell, New Mexico to William Edgar Hurtt, Sr. & Laura Maude (Webb) Hurtt. He attended Hartley High School. Ed served with the U. S. Army being honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1955. He married Elizabeth Betty Joan (Coleman), on August 5, 1968, in Sarasota, Florida, she died May 25, 2002. He farmed in the Dallam & Hartley Counties for many years. He was an active member of the St. James Episcopal Church. Survivors are 1 daughter: Shawn E. Kimber & her husband John of Amarillo, TX 1 son: Richard Dennis DeLong and his wife Jackie of Elkins, Arkansas 2 sisters: Mary McCleskey and Martha Coble of Dalhart, TX and a brother in Law Joe McCleskey of Dalhart, TX 7 Grandchildren and several Great-grandchildrenMemorials: Your favorite charity
