Wanda Robertson, 88, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Dalhart, TX.Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Memorial Park Cemetery Horizon Funeral Home.Wanda Lou Wilemon was born March 28, 1927 to Micager and Mary Wilemon of Wister Oklahoma. She met Billie Robertson when he was home on leave from the USMC during WWII. They were married in Klamath Falls Oregon on June 25, 1945. They moved to Oceanside California were Billie was stationed at Camp Pendelton and Wanda was a homemaker for their five children. Wanda was an active member of Service Memorial Southern Baptist Church until she moved to Dalhart in 1988 when she joined the First Baptist Church. She had been involved in Girl Scouts with daughters and granddaughters for many years. She was matriarch to a large clan beginning with Carol Buel and husband Charlie of Vista CA. Gaye Newburn/Flowers of Foley AL. Jerry Robertson and wife Maidee of Oceanside CA. Brenda Stevens and husband Mike of Eagle Grove IA, and Tiffany Crawford and husband Troy of Dalhart TX. Also 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her daughter Gaye Newburn/Flowers and Son-in-Law Bill Newburn.
