Wanda P. Bevans, 80 of Dalhart, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10 o clock in the morning on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Peter Baumert, The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-Day Saints, officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Wanda was born on October 31, 1940 to Fred and Alvie Brown in O Brien, TX. She married the late Charles Cecil Bevans in 1959 in Dalhart and they were happily married for over 48 years until his passing in 2007. They moved to Santa Rosa, CA in 1964 then to Metford, OR in 1970 before returning to Dalhart and settling in 1982. Wanda was a caring woman and all-around good person. She enjoyed horses and doing yardwork. She also liked to sit on her deck and birdwatch. Wanda was baptized at the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints and was also a member. She was preceded in death by her husband; Charles Cecil Bevans and one daughter: Brenda Bevans. Wanda is survived by one son: Grail "Bo" Bevans of Dalhart; adopted children: Brian Smalley and wife Pattey of Dalhart and Melissa Hall of Carlsbad, TX; grandchildren: Michael, Tasha, Chris, Kevin, benny and Shawney; one brother: Richard Brown of Missouri; one sister: Nelda Estes of Dalhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
