Wade Strother, 79 died on Sunday, July 31, 2005 in Dalhart, Texas.Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the First Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX. Graveside Services followed at 4:00 p.m. at the Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery, Littlefield, TX Officiating was Rodney Weatherly, Pastor, of the First Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas Ralph Wade Strother was born November 8, 1925 in Olustee, Oklahoma to Woodford Strother & Mel (Renfro) Strother. The family moved to Littlefield in 1931 and Wade graduated from Littlefield High School in 1943. He married Wanda Miller March 31, 1944 in Littlefield, TX, and immediately went into the Navy serving WWII. Wade and Wanda began a farming operation in 1959 in the Morton, TX area then in 1966 they moved their farming operation to Dalhart. He retired from farming in 1988. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dalhart. In his younger days he was a 32nd degree Mason & Shriner.
