She worked for Lawyers in Tucumcari for many years before moving to Dalhart in 1970. Vernnie worked for Dr. John Cunningham for over 25 years and purchased Secre-tel in 1990. Past Worthy Matron of the Dalhart and Stratford Chapters of Eastern Star.
