Velma E. Moore, 83, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007 in Dalhart, TXFuneral Services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 9th, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery Rodney Weatherly, Pastor officiated.Velma Estelle Hubbard was born March 29, 1924 in Dalhart, Texas to Roe and Edna (Stotes) Hubbard. Raised in Dalhart she married Buddy Moore in 1945, Buddy died in 1991. Velma was a member of the First Baptist Church, a homemaker and had worked as a clerk for the local convenience stores. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother: her family and friends will remember her as a loyal caretaker of family and friends alike. Survivors include daughters: Zerelda Biffle of Dalhart, TX Jeannie White of Moriarty, NM Juanita (Dolly) Woods of Corpus Christi, TX sons: Ronnie, Dicky and Jeff Moore of Dalhart, TX and Ricky Moore of Amarillo, TX sisters: Alpha Chumley of Dalhart, TX and Cleo Hale of Houston, TX 21 grandchildren 53 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild Preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons: James and Donnie and a grandson: Arnes Moore and 3 Brothers
