Anthony "Tony" H. Ritter, Sr., 74, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas. Graveside services for he and his daughter, Sherry Ritter will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX with Rusty Hancock, Pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church officiating, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home. Tony was born in Dalhart, TX on Saturday, April 13, 1946 to Edgar Ritter and Sally (Carranza) Martinez. Anthony grew up in Dalhart and later married Beatrice Gallegos, they celebrated 53 years this past January. He was a hard worker and through the years he worked in several places; Cavanas Packing Plant, Ford Garage, Dalhart High School as an Auto Mechanic teacher and ran the 87 Chevron. He was always willing and ready to help anyone in need without expecting anything in return. He did many auto repairs at no charge to help people out. Tony was a long time Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching games on Sundays with family. He was a lifelong Dalhart Wolves supporter, even after his boys had graduated, and when he could no longer attend in person, he was listening at home on KXIT radio. Tonys story will continue as chapters are still being written through his children and grandchildren and the many generations to come. He is loved and missed by many. Tony is survived by his wife, Beatrice Ritter of the home, his three sons; Tony Ritter, Jr. and wife Barbra, Bobby Ritter and wife Pasha, Phillip Ritter and Rosie all of Dalhart, TX, two daughters; Sandra and husband Jeremy Kerr of Dalhart, TX and Sheila and husband Lloyd Sprague of Manter, KS, his 18 grandchildren; Beth, Jessica, Michael (Duck), Emmitt, Samantha, Crystal, Bobbie (Bug), Ashley, Jaylee, Kyra, Lloyd, Jr. (Squeaky), Kat, Kenzie, Autumn, Jacob (Snake), Damian (Spider), Thomas (TomTom) and Trisha, by his 6 great grandchildren and by his brother, David Martinez and wife Jill of Amarillo, TX. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Patsy Ritter and Sherry Ritter, his mother, Sally Martinez, his father, Edgar Ritter a grandson, Dusty Ritter and two brothers, Johnny and Steve Martinez.
