Tony D. Poe, 68, died Saturday, October 17, 2015.Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 am, at the Memorial Park Cemetery.Tony Poe was born to Rollin Davis and May Elizabeth Poe on November 24, 1946 in Dalhart, TX. Tony was born and raised in Dalhart, TX.In his early years he worked for the area feedlots and the City of Dalhart. Later on he went into business for himself with his brothers, Bruce and Jimmy, and they opened Bruces Irrigation Service. They ran that until the early 90s. Then Tony retired and became the local go to guy for any item that was needed for the home or yard with his salvage collection. Tony loved spending time with his brothers and only nephew. They would travel to swap meets, wrestling matches, and car shows together. Tony was always dependable and did whatever he could for people in need. He will be greatly missed.He is survived by nephew, Michael Ray Poe of Dalhart, TX; great niece, Kimberly Gilland; great nephew, Stetson Weeden of Dalhart, TX; and sister-in-law, Janice Poe of Dalhart, TX.He is preceded by his parents and his three brothers, Bruce Poe, Jimmy Poe, and Ronald Poe.
