Tommy Deeter, 63 of Dalhart, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 1 o' clock in the afternoon on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church with Brother DeWight Kirksey officiating. Interment will follow at 4 o' clock in the afternoon in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger. Mr. Deeter will lay in state from 6 until 8 o' clock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home and again from 9 until 11 o' clock in the morning on Friday. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Thomas "Tommy" Jay Deeter AKA Boomer was born on June 11, 1958 in Logan Sport, IN to Raymond Jr. and Arvilla Deeter. Tommy worked at Rita Blanca Electric in Dalhart, TX for 41 years retiring back in March of 2021. Tommy enjoyed spending time with his wife Lisa, fishing, camping, hunting, woodwork, and steel art to name a few. Tommy cherished every minute he got to play with his grand babies, loved hanging out with all his family and enjoyed cooking out and just hanging out with his friends. He led a happy and full life and lived it to its fullest. Tommy would light up any room that he walked in with his contagious smile. Tommy was known by many and will be missed by all. Tommy is survived by his wife Lisa of the home; four daughters: Shannon Matthews of Claude, TX, Amber Connor and husband Sean of Amarillo, TX, Courtney Hale of Canyon, TX and Amber Blanton of Webster, TX; one son: Shawn Blanton Jr. and wife Jayme of Sanger, TX; two brothers: Steve Deeter and wife Maxine of La Sal, UT, and Joe Deeter and wife Teresa of Dumas, TX; one sister: Susie Macdonald of Benson, AZ; seven grandbabies: Maddie Matthews, Hayley Conner, Oliver Matthews, Nolan Blanton, Piper Hale, Oakley Blanton, and Riley Blanton; and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Raymond Jr and Arvilla Ruth Deeter and one son in law: Mark Matthews.
