Thomas "Tom" Fowler, 73, died Thursday, March 12, 2015. Services were held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Under the care of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TX Tom's Video Thomas Jefferson Fowler, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, was born February 11, 1942 in Whitney, TX to Howard and Annie (Watson) Fowler. A veteran of the US Air Force, Tom moved to Dalhart in 1949 and grew up to operate a successful business New Holland /West Texas Engine. Tom had a zest for life and was always on the go. He loved to spend time with friends and family, restore antique and collectable cars, traveling, motorcycles, car auctions and never missed a NASCAR race. Along with his sales awards from New Holland, he received many trophies in motocross racing. Tom was a member of the Dalhart Elks Lodge and the Dalhart Cruzers. Survivors include daughter: Marsha Fowler of Canyon, TX, son: Doug and his wife Lisa Fowler of Dalhart, TX, Daughters: Vickie & husband Jeff Parker of Elk City, OK, Tommi & husband Rich Mikuska of Garfield, AR, and Amanda & husband Jeff Jurajda of Dalhart, TX. A brother Walton and his wife Marcella Fowler of Elgin, TX and sister Barbara Cunningham of Woodward, OK Grandchildren: Ashley, D.J, Brittany, Vanessa, Bailey, Michael, Billy, Breanna, Corbin, Cayden, Gavin, Ella, Levi, Derek and great grandchildren: Will, Ryan, Keaton, Aria as well as nieces and nephews: David, John Jay and Pam. He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Dusty.
