Timothy Vogel, 49, Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Dalhart, TX. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the First Baptist Church Dalhart, TX, with Barry Walker, Minister, First Christian Church of Dalhart, TX officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.Timothy Paul Vogel was born April23, 1959 in Peoria, IL to Louis and Patricia (Herbst) Vogel. Tim graduated from Roanoke-Benson High School in Roanoke, IL. Moved to Dalhart in 1980 to follow his life long dream of farming. He met the love of his life, Laurie Doyle, and they were married on March 24, 1990. Tim and his brother Tom formed Vogel Brothers Custom Farming in 1985, later they formed V&B Farm Supply in 1991. Along with many other accomplishments in his life he established Vogel Trucking, Vogel Bros Farming, and took an avid interest in raising show pigs with his daughters. He was one of the founders of XIT Antique Tractor Pull Association. He was a member of Dalhart Elks Lodge for 29 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Dalhart Consumers Fuel Association. He was an antique John Deere Tractor Collector Enthusiast. He touched lives throughout the community, and his memory will be cherished by all who were privileged to have known him. Survivors include his wife: Laurie Vogel of Dalhart, TX daughters: Elissa Vogel and Holly Vogel of Dalhart, TX a son: Josh Vogel of Dalhart, TX a step daughter: Melany and her husband Jason Gribble of Vernon, TX a step son Cody and his wife Laura King of Aubrey, TX , his parents: Patricia & Louis Vogel of Roanoke, Il. A sister Beth Roseman and her husband Ron of Eureka, IL and brothers: Tom Vogel and his wife Janice of Dalhart, TX and Daniel Vogel and his wife Jill of Roanoke, Il. 5 grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews.
