Tilda Coonce, 95, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Dalhart, Texas. Visitation was Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Horizon Funeral Home. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 14, 2016 with Rusty Hancock, pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home. Tilda (Bevans) Coonce was born on September 13, 1921 in Canadian, Ok to Zachary Charles Bevans and Clementine (Ellington) Bevans. Tilda married Allen Benson Coonce and together they had 4 children. Tilda was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Tilda is survived by 2 daughters, Gathel (Coonce) Bozeman of Groesbeck, TX and Carol (Coonce) Vines of Dalhart, TX and a sister in law, Vanita Bevans of Dalhart, TX. As well as 9 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Tilda is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Coonce, a son, Clarence Allen Coonce, a daughter, Juanita (Coonce) Gray as well as 2 sisters, 5 brothers and her parents.
