Theresa Koger, 91, died Friday, December 12, 2008 in Dalhart, Texas A Prayer Vigil was held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas.Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthonys Catholic Church at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2008 with Father Scott L. Raef, Pastor of St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, TXTheresa Catherine Locke was born May 26, 1917 in Chamois, Missouri to Alexander and Emma (Starke) Locke. On December 31, 1947 she married Carl Koger in Sebetha, Kansas. They lived on a ranch near Amistad, New Mexico and during school Theresa stayed in Dalhart and taught while their daughter Emily went to school. Theresa helped her husband out around the ranch. She enjoyed wildlife and gardening. Theresa was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hayden, New Mexico.Survivors include her daughter Emily Koger of Clovis, NM Sister Geneva Berry of Topeka, KS, granddaughter Sandra Koger of Ft. Worth, TX and a sister 0in-law: Fern Zimmerman of Clayton, NM and special friends: the Bolz Family.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl, and son, Tommy Joe.
