Tessie Bell, 94, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Dalhart, TX.Graveside services were held in Quanah Memorial Cemetery, Quanah, Texas on Wednesday, November 24, 2015 at 2:00pm Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, Texas. Tessie Belle Nichols was born in Quanah, Texas on December 8, 1920 to James and Minnie (Steffey) Nichols. Tessie married Thomas Burke Bell on August 16, 1947 in Quanah, Texas. They Later moved to Dalhart where she was a loving wife and mother who was involved in the Dalhart Baptist Church and community service. Tessie was a Pink Lady at Coon Memorial Hospital and Home and a volunteer at the XIT Museum, and the Dalhart Senior Citizens Center. She was an accomplished homemaker who was devoted to the wellbeing of her family.She is survived by daughters: Susan and her husband Wilson Fisher of Centreville, VA, Kathy and her husband Jerry Lemaster of Holly Springs NC, Granddaughter: Christi and her husband Author Svrjcek of Stevensville, MD and Great-Granddaughter: Melody Svrjcek of Stevensville, MD.She is preceded by her parents and her husband.
