Steven Edward Holfield, 67, passed away on, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas. A private family service will be held at a later date. Steven was born Thursday, May 7, 1953 to George W. Holfield and Wookeena Ann Arudringa in Ronceverte, West Virginia. He enjoyed music very much. He loved playing with his guitar and drums. He also loved to go fishing and model cars from time to time. He is a veteran of the US Navy and was in the Vietnam war. He lived in Muleshoe, Texas and graduated in 1971. Steven worked for Honeywell as an electrician before retiring and moving to Dalhart in 2008, where he worked as an electrician at High Plains. He loved and enjoyed his pets Steven is survived by his son Nicholas Paul Holfield, his brother; Larry Holfield of Greensboro, North Carolina, his two sisters; April Giddens of Eastman, Georgia and Laura Thomashide of Lubbock, Texas, and by his several precious nieces and nephews. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, George W. Holfield and Wookeena Ann Arudringa as well as his wife Linda.
