Sira G. Hernandez, 80, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Dalhart, Texas Vigil service were held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 7:00 pm in St. Anthonys Catholic Church. Funeral Service were held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 11, 2015 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Dalhart, TX. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TX.Deacon Ron Hein with St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas will be officiating. Sira G. Hernandez was born October 22, 1934 to late Juan and Aurora (Ramos) Garza in Laredo, TX. Sira married Arturo Hernandez in Laredo, TX on January 10, 1959. Sira lived in Kress and Stratford where she worked as a homemaker. She then moved one final time to Dalhart. She worked at McDonalds for many years and was known as mom to those that knew her. She was one of the best tortilla maker and had a passion for flowers. Closest to her heart was her family. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren.Survivors: Children: Son Nickie Martinez of Stratford, TX, two daughters- Janie Martinez of Dallas, TX, and Elsa Rodriquez of Dalhart, TX, son Arturo Hernandez of Dalhart., TX, 12 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren.
