Silvan Warren Kornbluth, 87, of Dalhart died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 16 surrounded by family members. Kornbluth was born in Bronx, New York on September 13, 1927 to Bell and Morris Kornbluth.When Silvan was 17 years old he joined the Navy to serve his country at the end of WWII. After the war, Silvan joined the Reserves to continue to serve the country he loved so much. After his service years, he worked for Diane Von Furstenberg in the fashion industry as her right hand man in sales, a very successful career that would take him to retirement. After retirement, Silvan moved to Delray Beach Florida where he loved to play golf almost everyday. Another passion Silvan enjoyed was family meals cooked by his second wife Trudi Kornbluth. Silvan was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Joan. Silvan is survived in death by his daughter Randee and her husband Michal Eckstein; his daughter Elyse and her husband Craig Mazara, his stepdaughter Arlene and her husband Lance Wadlington, his stepdaughter Julia and her husband Tzachi Patach and numerous grandchildren. A memorial service was held for the immediate family in Dalhart Texas on Friday, October 24. Another memorial service will be announced for his family and friends in Florida.
