Shirley Jo Matlock, age 84, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Weatherford, Texas.Graveside Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Under the care of Horizon Funeral HomeShirley Jo Hartshorn was born January 23, 1932 to Obart Vincent Hartshorn and Aliene Johnson Hartshorn in Dalhart, Texas. She was a Dalhart beauty, awarded the prize of Miss Dalhart during her high school years. She is the youngest of four daughters born to O.V. & Aliene Hartshorn. On December 10, 1950 she married, John W. Matlock in Dalhart, Texas. He died on June 30, 1990. They were members of the Central United Methodist Church. Her older sisters went before her to Heaven and are now rejoicing together along with her husband, John W. Matlock. Shirley made it her purpose to raise her children in a Christian, church-going family, something they will always love and praise her for. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.Survivors include daughters Pamela Matlock Krueger of Austin, TX, Patricia Matlock Jensen of Ft. Worth, TX, a son Craig Matlock of Amarillo, TX 6 grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; John W. Matlock and her son, John V.
