Sheldon Ralph Lindsey 76 of Texline, Texas died on Monday June 30, 2014Graveside services will be at 10; 30 am Thursday July 3. 2014 in Texline Texas, with retired Baptist pastor Billy Rammage officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home in Dalhart, TexasSheldon was born on July 25,1937 in Pampa, Texas to John Van Emen Lindsey and Jessie Sheldon Colwell Lindsey, he moved to Texline with his parents in 1945, where he attended Texline school and graduated with the class of 1956. Sheldon was active in football and basketball and other events throughout his high school years.Sheldon married Vernell Fry Lindsey Sheets on Sept. 23, 1956. to this union were born three children---daughters Dwanna Martinez and husband Alex of Amarillo, Texas- Calisse Nix and Kevin Duncan of Santa Fe, New Mexico and son, Shelby Lindsey and Vanessa Perez of Lubbock Texas ---Sheldon had 9 grandchildren-Anthony, Nicole Baca, Andrew, Micah, Reuben, Lori, Alexia, Aaron from the Martinez family and Brandon Ogden--10 great-grandchildren -Haylee Baca, Ashley Baca, Abbey Baca , Gracie, Michela, Anabella, Exavior, Elianna, Isaac and Eva from the Martinez family.He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Lee Lindsey and a sister Carol Jean Lindsey EadsHe is survived by three brothers--Cliff Lindsey and wife Mary Anne of Derby, Kansas Robert Lindsey and wife Mary of Denver, Colorado and Roy Lindsey and wife Berna Dean of Mt.
