Sharon Kay Thelander, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Dalhart, TX. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX. Burial wan in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX Funeral arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Officiating was Brian Walton, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas Sharon Kay Stelling was born on December 5, 1946 to Leonard & Alma (Frederick) Stelling in Neligh, NE. Sharon married Lynn Thelander on November 20, 1966. Sharon & Lynn ran the Denver Exxon for many years in Dalhart. Sharon worked at Mazios for over 20 years. Sharon loved sewing, gardening and cooking. Sharons family said she made the best fried chicken in the world. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all that knew her. Survivors include her 3 children- a daughter Linette Pope, 2 sons Mike and his wife Kristi Thelander and Doug Thelander of Dalhart, TX. 6 grandchildren Kourtney and her husband Grant Sacco of Las Vegas, NV, Devin Shirar, Kourtney Thelander, Justice Thelander, Avry Thelander and Emily Thelander all of Dalhart, TX as well as her 2 sisters Yvonne Cooper & her husband, Jim and Janet Miller & her husband, Howard.
