Sandra Kay Thaxton, 68, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas. UPDATE- Memorial service were held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at New Life Fellowship. Officiating will be Ricky Sanchez, Associate Pastor of New Life Fellowship. Sandra Kay (LaFever) Thaxton was born on Saturday, November 13, 1948 to James Willem & Faye Celia (Lackey) LaFever in Pampa, Texas. Sandra grew up in Dalhart, Texas and married Ricky Glenn Thaxton in 1975. Sandra enjoyed watching her soap operas, her cats and spending time with her family and friends. Sandra is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ricky Glenn Thaxton of Dalhart, Texas, her 2 sons- Mike Thaxton of Dalhart, Texas and Mark Thaxton & his wife, Selena of Dalhart, Texas and her 2 daughters- Brenda Thaxton of Beaumont, Texas and Lori Thaxton of Dalhart, Texas as well as 2 sisters- Dorothy LaFever of Canyon, Texas and Shirley Woodruff of Dumas, Texas, a close family friend- Calvin Solomon, 12 grandchildren including- Stephani, Sam, Timmy, Mason, Kane, Teah, Tamara, Ty, Josh & Jayden and 8 great grandchildren including- Serrenity, Miya, Kendrick & Idella. Sandra is preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandchild- Noah Thaxton.
