Sammy Casados, 53, died December 7, 2011 in Dalhart, TXMemorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Dalhart, TX. Arrangements by Horizon Funeral Home. Samuel Francisco Casados, II was born September 4, 1958 in Guymon, OK to Samuel Sr. and Petra (Flores) Casados He was raised in Amarillo, TX and later moved to Dalhart in 1971. He was a graduate of Dalhart High School in 1976. Sammy loved photography and won many awards in state. After graduating, he served in the Marine Corps. He was the owner of Corner Stone Construction Co. He served on the City Council and was an active member and Elder of New Life Fellowship Church in Dalhart and the Kairos Ministry. Sammy was a loving father and husband. His infectious smile and words of wisdom will be missed. Survivors include: Wife; Yolanda Ruiz Casados who he married in 1984 of Dalhart, TX, Sons: Michael Vasquez of Dalhart, TX, Sammy Casados, III and his wife Jessica of Pasadena, TX, Joe Vasquez of Dumas, TX, Isaac Casados and his wife Dukesa of Dumas, TX, Isaiah Casados of Dalhart, TX, Daughters: Amanda Badillo and her husband Carlos of Dalhart, TX, Candace Johnson and her husband James of Crosby, TX, mother, Petra F. Williams of Dalhart, TX, Sisters: Grace Casados of Dalhart, TX, Diane & her husband Eddie Perez of Oklahoma City, OK, and , brother Arthur Jacobs, of Oklahoma City, OK, 7 grandchildren.Preceded in death by his father, Samuel F. Casados, Sr.one brother, Charles Casados one niece, Stephanie Casados, and one grandchild, Jayden Badillo.A Memorial Fund has been set up at Dalhart Federal Savings and LoanDalhart, Texas.
