Sadie Bolton, age 93 died Thursday, June 09, 2005 at Coon Memorial Hospital in Dalhart, Texas.Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church, burial was in Dalhart Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home- Dalhart, Texas Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Pastor of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX & Bob McAlister, Pastor Channing Baptist Church, Channing TexasSadie Mae was born October 26, 1911 to John and Nancy Spears in Devol, OK. She finished school in 1932 and in 1933 married Humphrey Bolton. They had three children. In 1946 they moved to Dalhart on a farm west of town where they spent twenty years. Later they owned a few business in town. Sadie cooked at Coronado Feeders for nearly seven years. Sadie was a natural with children so she spent a few years in the First Baptist Church Nursery with the babies. In 1954 she moved to Lincoln Street Baptist Church where she worked in the Nursery for 41 before retiring. She spent 75 years caring for children Survivors include - Daughter-in-law: Nell Grimes, Dalhart, Texas, Adopted son: David Smart, Delta, CO, Grandsons: Mike and wife Irma Bolton, Johnny and wife Jane Bolton, Walt Bolton & wife Sarah, Connie Bolton & wife Paula all of Dalhart, TX Granddaughters: Dede Bolton, Patty Garcia & husband Daniel of Dalhart. 22 Great Grandchildren; 9 Great Great GrandchildrenPreceded in death by: Husband, Humphrey, 2 Sons: Donny & John Walter Bolton 1 Daughter: WuintaMemorial: Lincoln Street Baptist Church
