Chennault, 88 - died on Saturday, March 18, 2006 in Dalhart, TexasServices were held at 3:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2006 in the Lakeview United Methodist Church, Dalhart, Texas.Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home.Officiants were John V. Chennault,- Sr. Pastor First Baptist Church of El Reno, OK and George Chambers, Pastor Lakeview United Methodist Church.Samuel Jobe Chennault was born April 26, 1917 in Amarillo, TX to Jobe and Elizabeth (Dunlap) Chennault. Raised in Dalhart, Mr. Chennault graduated from Dalhart, High School in 1934 and on November 13, 1938 he married Cecile Stanley in Amarillo, TX she died on July 3rd, 2000. A Dalhart native, Mr. Chennault went to work for the Rock Island Railroad in the early 40s and retired in the late 60s. He was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and the Rock Island Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his Daughter - Joan and her husband Carl Cumming of Dalhart, TX Son -Larry & his wife Stacy Chennault of Carrollton, TX. 4 Grandchildren -B. J. Chennault, Mathew Chennault and Shelly Chenault and Denise Webb 2 Great Grandchildren - Casey Webb & Brian Webb. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 brother and 1 sister
