Ruth Selby, 84, died Wednesday April 9, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM.Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Bob McAlister, Pastor to Senior Adults of the First Baptist Church of Dalhart officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Services are under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, Texas. Ruth Mae Crabtree was born November 1, 1923 in Dumas, TX to Virgil and Georgia( Morgan) Crabtree. She attended schools in Dumas and on August 8, 1949 she married Julius C. Selby in Raton, NM. Ruth loved to fish, play games and vacation on Padre Island. She was a member of the Texas Rose Ladies Auxiliary to United Transportation Union for 50 years; and of the Dorcas Class at First Baptist Church in Dalhart. Ruth Volunteered at Senior Center in Dalhart for 8 9 years. Survivors include a son: Gerald P. Sartin and his wife Maggie of Amarillo, TX and their Children Chad and Christie Sartin of Amarillo, TX:Daughters: Roxie Vigil and her husband Leonard of Albuquerque, NM and their children Marilan Guerra of Silver City, NM and Steve Vigil, USN, stationed in San Diego, CA - Prudence Bourk and her husband Pat and their children Jamie and Jon Patrick of Boise City, OKStepson: Larry Selby of Edmund, OKSister: Ethel Clevenger of Dalhart, TXOther beloved family: Dick and Shirley Hudson of Amarillo, TX Roger Hey of Dalhart, TX Brother in Law: Mack Watts of Amarillo, TX Several Great-grand children, nieces and nephews Preceded in death by: her husband , parents, son: Roy Albert Sartin and sisters: Jackie Watts and Ellen MeyerMemorials may be made to - First Baptist Church
