Ruth Mary Wynn Dane died at 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Dumas Nursing Center, Dumas, Texas. She was 88 years old. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Lincoln St. Baptist Church, burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home. Ruth Mary Wynn was born to James Lafayette Wynn and Maud Isabel (Stone) Wynn on February 7, 1916 in Springtown, Texas. She was married to Henry Washington Dane on December 8, 1934 in Springtown, Texas, Parker County. They moved to a farm in Parker County where their three children were born; Henry Junior in 1934, Wilma Jean in 1935, Clifford Henry in 1938 and Betty Ann in 1942. She, her husband and their three children moved to Dalhart in 1947, where she resided until her death. She was a charter member of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church and worked in the Dalhart High School as a dietician during the years 1956-1960. She was noted for her many culinary talents. She and her husband, Henry, owned and operated the Builders Supply Lumber Company of Dalhart. Ruth was a quiet timid person who moved, unpretentiously, among those of the Dalhart Community serving them in any way that she possibly could. Many remember the good deeds and friendship of Ruth.She was proceeded in death by her parents, James and Maud Stone. Two Brothers; Reed Orville Wynn and Clint Voy Wynn; and a son Henry Junior Dane; and two great grandchildren. She is survived by a son - Clifford & his wife Peggy Dane of Dalhart, TX 2 Daughters - Wilma Jean & her husband J.M. Phillips of Creststone, CO & Betty Malone of Waco, TX Sister: Willa Mae Finney of Amarillo, TX. 9 Grandchildren, 24 Grt Grandchildren & 11 Grt.Grt.
