Russell "Rusty" Dean Rice, 50, passed suddenly on Friday, July 17, 2020. Services were held Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Newlife in Dalhart, Texas with Pastor Terry Stegall officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Rusty was born Friday, June 26, 1970 to Carolyn (Swearingen) and Billy Gene Rice in Dalhart, Texas. Rusty graduated from Dalhart High School in 1988. He went to work for P & P Delco for several years. Rusty loved going shooting, playing softball and riding dirtbikes. He was often active in Newlife church over the years. Rusty is survived by his wife Irene Russell, his children; Chasity Rice, Jason Rice and wife Shasta Garcia, Severiana Rice, Lee Lockhart and wife Stevie, and Devin Lockhart and wife Alexandria, his mother, Carolyn Rice, his siblings; Ricky Rice, Jon Jones, Rochelle Rice and Mike Rice and seven grandchildren.
