Woods of Dumfries, VA. and 1 grandson Andrew Barta Dominguez of Amarillo, TX. Russell Jay Barta was born August 12, 1963 in Colorado Springs, CO to Jarold A. Barta & Dorothy (Horner) Kellerman. He grew up in Junction City, Kansas and graduated from Junction City High School in 1982. R.J. went to Manhattan Vo-Tech and on March 12, 1990 he married Deborah Rose Sturgeon in Junction City, KS. They moved to Dalhart in 1996. An engineer for the Union Pacific, R.J. was a member of the Junction City American Legion.Known by his friends as Lucky or Scrappy he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and drawing as well as spending time with his many friends and family.
