Russchelle Janine Cummings Hanbury passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Central United Methodist Church, Dalhart, Texas. With consideration for others, we do ask that all those in attendance wear masks and observe social distancing. After graduating from Dalhart High School in 1972, Russchelle attended Oral Roberts University before transferring to Texas Christian University. She founded Dalhart Gymnastic and the Texas Tumbleweeds Team in 1980 and continued judging, coaching and competing at the district and national levels until her passing. She is survived by her son Austin Hanbury, siblings Desire Priestly and her husband Peter, Shannan Lloyd and her husband Jeff, Shayleigh Gallo, and many nephews, nieces and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Sibbie and Russell Cummings, and the love of her life, Ronnie Hanbury. The family asks that memorials be made to: The Twilight Fund P.O.
