Ruchelle Powers, 32, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Dalhart, TX. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Patterson, officiating. Burial did follow in the Hartley Cemetery, Hartley, TX under the care of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TX. Ruchelle Renee Elliott was born December 3, 1985 in Amarillo, TX to Darrell and Peggy (Powell) Elliott. Ruchelle was raised in Hartley and graduated from Hartley High School in 2004. She attended Amarillo College before marrying her High School sweetheart Shon Powers on April 21, 2007 in Hartley, TX. Ruchelle was a devoted mother and wife who loved horses and all animals, she enjoyed the Live Stock Shows and was active in her childrens participation in stock shows. Her favorite times were when she worked with her husband and family out in the fields. Ruchelle is survived by her husband Shon, her son Thaddeus, her daughter ThayLee, all of Hartley, TX, her parents Darrell and Peggy Elliott of Dalhart, TX, her brothers Randy and David Johnson of Dalhart, TX.
