Ruby Zan Wright, 93, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Dalhart, TXFuneral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Dalhart Church of Christ with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXOfficiating was Jeff Ratliff, Minister Dalhart Church of Christ, Dalhart, TXRuby Zan Rice was born in Texola, Oklahoma to Mary Alice (Crossman) and Charles Fletcher Rice. She graduated from high school in 1935 in Texola. She was Salutatorian of her class. She married the love of her life, Alvie Wright, on August 21, 1935. She had worked at Downtown Cleaners in the 1940s and for C.R. Anthonys and later was Manager of a Montgomery Ward Catalogue Store. She also did some substitute teaching in Dalhart in the 1970s. She loved to play bridge, 42, and most any card game. She was a member of the Denver Ave. Church of Christ.Survivors include her daughter: Ronnye Bishop of Dalhart, TX. , grandsons: Kyle Bishop of Los Angeles, CA, - Kevin & his wife Laurie Bishop of North Richland Hills, TX granddaughter: Tonya & her husband Scott Styron of Burnet, TX 4 great granddaughters: Alli Styron, Ari Styron and Avri Styron and Brenna Bishop.
