Ruby Haynes, 96, died Friday, December 08, 2006 in Coon Memorial Hospital, Dalhart, Texas.Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the First Christian Church. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Officiating was Minister Paul Hill, Wichita, Kansas Rudy Ann St. Clair was born in Missouri on June 29, 1910 to William and Maggie St. Clair. She married W.R. Haynes in Fairview, Oklahoma on December 24, 1927. They moved to the Dalhart area in 1929. W.R. preceded her in death in 1982. Ruby worked for F.L. Jolley at Dalhart Farmers Exchange for over 50 yrs. in Sales and as a Bookkeeper. She retired two months before her 90ths birthday. Other than her family and friends, Rubys passion was her garden and the fruits of the labor.Ruby was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She also chauffeured many of her widowed friends to regular church services for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband and twin daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Haynes Spencer and husband, R.W. Spencer and Dorothy Haynes Hill and husband, Lee Hill.She is survived by one son, W.G. Bill Haynes and wife Pat, of Titusville, Florida. Ruby is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.Ruby will be remembered for her example of unconditional love, hard work ethic and steadfast faith in God.
