Rowena Ann Sheets was born December 31, 1937, to Lilian and Riley Sheets and she passed from this life to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, April 6, 2024.

Rowena spent an idyllic childhood growing up in Oklahoma City, riding horses and playing baseball with her brother. In 1955, she graduated high school and then attended Abilene Christian College where she met the man of her dreams. She had always wanted to marry a cowboy and live the rancher's life. Jerry Jack Lobley more than fit the bill and on February 15, 1958 they married. Rowena helped support the new family by working at the phone company until Jerry graduated. She often talked of her time there. After Jerry's graduation in 1959, they moved to Petersburg, TX. Where three children were born, Clay, Kyle and Brenda. In 1974, they moved to just south of Texline where they thrived and raised their kids. In the early 1980's Tackle Guile moved in with the Lobley family permanently and he came to be fully regarded as their fourth child and his children as Jerry and Rowena's grandchildren.

Jerry and Rowena were active members of the Texline church of Christ for 43 years. Rowena helped Jerry with his grain business, cooked for her family and cheered her kids on in their endeavors.

Rowena is survived by one sister, Rebecca Cable and husband Richard of Lexington, KY. Her children, Clay Lobley and wife Jennifer; Brenda Lobley; Kyle Lobley and wife Kathryn; and Tackle Guile and wife Pamela. 12 grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah Ong and husband Matthew, Nolan Lobley and wife Marla, Emily Contreras and husband Juan Carlos, and Dylan Lobley. Natalie McGee and husband, Joseph, Sam Couch, Hannah Couch and Kaylen Couch. Emory Lobley and Ivy Frappier and husband Matthew and Riley Guile and bride-elect Shadarah Pebsworth and Kenneth Guile. She also had 3 great grandchildren, Carson McGee and Wyatt McGee and Robert Lobley. Rowena is preceded in death by both parents, Riley and Lillian Sheets, a brother, Bob Sheets and her beloved husband of 62 years, Jerry Lobley and many other dear friends and family.
