Ronnie Lee Marquez, 66, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Horizon Funeral Home 701 Elm Ave., Dalhart, Texas from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. December 2, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas with Father Lawrence of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church officiating. Services under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home. Ronnie was a very loving person and always had a smile on his face. He was willing to help anyone. Ronnie loved his granddaughters very much and was always so proud of them. Ronnie was the best father anyone could have. Ronnie was a free spirited and adventurous man. He was very protective of his family and friends and loved spending time with them telling them crazy stories about his life. Ronnie liked to ride motorcycles and work on cars. He was a strong, tough warrior and his memory will forever live on. Ronnie was born in Clayton, New Mexico to Carmen (Craine) and Margarito Marquez on December 18, 1953. Ronnie is survived by his daughter: Victoria "Toy" Marquez and sons: Ronnie Marquez Jr. and Tracy Montez, grandchildren: Emily Marquez and Angel Gutierrez, his sisters: Irene Gonzales and husband Richard, Frances Marquez and Maria Marquez, brother: Mario Marquez, brother-in-law: Joe Villasenor, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a special family friend: Cindy Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Semonita Roybal Marquez and sister, Lydia Patricia (Patsy) Villasenor.
