Charles Ronald (Ronnie) Hanbury, 67, died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his home in Dalhart,Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart, Texas. After graduating from high school in 1971, Ronnie attended McMurry University and Oral Roberts University. He began a construction business and then purchased Dalhart Glass in the mid 1970s. Ronnie had a passion for helping people and his community. He served as an XIT Director, on the Board of Trustees for Dalhart ISD, and the Dallam County ARB board. He was a CASA volunteer and coached many youth sports teams. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Hallmark Hanbury, his son, Austin Hanbury and mother, Russchelle Hanbury, his son Dustin Hanbury and mother Misty Knight, siblings Becky Younger and her husband Darrell, Mark Hanbury and his wife Lisa, Carrie Weldon and her husband Kenny, Carren Raney and her husband Mike, many nephews, nieces, and close friends.
