He moved to Dalhart as a young man and after serving in the U.S. Army he returned to the Texas Panhandle and farmed in the Bunker Hill Community for many years. He is a past member of the Texline Independent School Board and enjoyed working with his hands. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather he will be missed by all, especially his dog Skeeter! Survivors include his wife Myrtle Reeves of Amarillo, Texas, daughters - Sharon Taylor of Dalhart, Texas and Jonelle Lynn of Amarillo, TX grandsons Travis and his wife Laura Taylor of Dalhart, TX and Christian Lynn of Knoxville, TN - Granddaughters: Lorena and her husband Matt Seidenbergen of Fredericksburg, TX Rebecca and her husband Billy Mebane of Lubbock, TX Jennifer and her husband Robbie Cook of Knoxville, TN stepsons: Jack Risley and his wife Jackie Kay of Lincoln AR. & Marvin Risley and his wife Sharon of Lincoln, AR a sister: Jewel Fincher of Cave Junction, OR. 9 grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a stepson.
