Robert Walker, 67, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 in New MexicoFuneral Services were held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2011 Pheasant Run Spiritual Life Center with Leon Laney officiating.Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas.Robert Walker was born June 22, 1944 in Dumas, TX to Floyd and Katheryne (Harbison) Walker. He was raised in the Panhandle and had a life long love for cowboying. Robert and Hazel (Caughron) were married on September 14, 1971. He had worked many years for P & P Delco and enjoyed backyard cookouts and spending time and telling stories of his life with family and friends.Survivors include his wife Hazel of Dalhart, TX, Sons - Floyd Walker of Dalhart , TX, Roland H. Jones Jr. of Abilene , TX. Daughters Tammie and her husband Steven Yeager of Hartley, TX, Coerena Tate of College Station, TX and Mary Gonzalez. A sister Patsy Gregersen of Amarillo, TX and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great GrandchildrenPreceded in death by his parents, a sister Juanita Walker, children Jacque and Laramie.Memorials may be made to the Hartley Volunteer Fire Dept.820 White St. Hartley, TX 79044
