Robert was raised in Spur, TX and enjoyed cowboy movies and was a special fan of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. Survivors include his sisters Helen Ford of Dalhart, TX, Mary Ann Barber of Bonner Springs, KS, Sue Bennett of Jeffersonville, IN, Lynette Alexander of Houston, TX - brothers D.K. Powell of Amarillo, TX, Roland Powell of Colorado City, TX and Pat Powell of Odessa, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
