Horizon Funeral Home.Robert Loyd Kelley passed to his eternal reward on Wednesday, May 02, 2007 at the Coon Memorial Home in Dalhart at the age of 97; Loyd was born on December 29th, 1909 in Collingsworth County, Texas to T.F. and Vivian (Hamilton) Kelley. During his life time Loyd was married to four wives: Gladys Clifton, Audrey Mae Kiker, Minnie Abla, an Lillian Peden. They have all preceded his in death. In addition to his wives, Loyd is preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, one sister, and one daughter. In his early adult life Loyd was employed as a ranch hand for various ranches of the panhandle, He served as a cook for cattle drives. Later, he operated Kelleys Dairy, and farmed. From 1952 to 1954 he bottled and sold Grade A Raw Milk to customers and grocery stores in Dalhart. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Dalhart. He was also a member of Gideons International. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, and faithful Christian worker.Left to cherish his memory are: a daughter, Mildred Clinkenbeard of Osage Beach, Missouri; Two Sons: Ray Kelley and wife, Donald Ruth of Amarillo, Texas and Robert P. Kelley and wife, Linda of Marfa, Texas one sister, Dorothy Norcia of Sebestapol, California.
