On May 12, 1925, Robert Eugene Enns was born on the family farm in Guymon, OK. He passed on to Glory on July 11, 2019. Bob graduated high school in Guymon, Oklahoma and continued to assist his family in their farming endeavors. Bob married Lural Elizabeth Dryden on Christmas Day in 1946. He and his young bride moved to Dalhart, Texas where they successfully farmed for more than 60 years. Bob was proceeded in death by his beautiful bride Lural Enns, his parents, Dietrich and Susan Ann Enns, and his brothers, Norman and Dickie Enns. Bob is survived by his children; Ron Enns and wife Margaret of Dalhart, Texas; Marilyn McCarty and husband Carl of Texline, Texas; Debbie Bailey and husband Jack of Dumas, Texas. Grandchildren Rick Enns and Cat of Canyon, Texas; Brian Enns and Amy of Dallas, Texas; April Gallagher and Brendan of Conrad, Montana; Julie Deason and Micah of Texline, Texas; Kathy Kelso and Jack of Dalhart, Texas; and Barbie Walker of Dalhart, Texas and seventeen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Donna Chapman of Tulia, Texas; Betty Moore of Guymon, Oklahoma; and Patty Spoonemore of Spearman, Texas ; sister-in-law LaVonne Enns of Amarillo, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Bob and Lural were active volunteers in the community on the Dalhart Senior Citizens, Meals on Wheels, Rita Blanca Electric Board, ASCS Board, 4-H Leaders, Square Dancing, and many others. Bob and Lural were named the Outstanding Farmers of the Year by the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce in 1993. He was an active member of the Central United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Open Door Sunday School Class. A funeral Service was held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart, Texas.
