Rita Barrow, 44, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Dalhart, TXFuneral Services were held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Horizon Funeral Home. Rita Janette Gomez was born February 22, 1972 in Dalhart, TX to Vincente H. and Cecilia (Valdez)Gomez. Rita grew up in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School then from OPSU. On June 11, 1994 she married Coby Barrow - have 3 children: Braydon, Kole and Christina. Rita taught school for DISD and truly cared for her students and their goals.Ritas devotion and love for her church, community and family could be seen by her smile and her can do approach to life. She loved her husband and children with her whole heart and loved watching her kids in EVERY sport. She loved teaching Christina and her friends in Bible Study. Rita loved her husbands devotion and strength, her families unwavering support, her Red toenail polish, watching the movie Grease with her daughter and being with her nieces and nephews who she treated like her own kids.Rita is survived by her husband Coby, two sons, Braydon and Kole and a daughter Christina all of Dalhart, TX her mother Cecilia Gomez of Dalhart, TX her in-laws Lola and Boyd Barrow of Dalhart, TX her siblings: Nancy Martinez and her husband Nick, Vincent Gomez and his wife Cheryl, Pat Gomez and his wife Manuela, brother in law Rusty Hammett, Phillip Gomez and his partner Van, Teresa Schoonover and her husband Chuck, Alvin Gomez and his wife Suzzane, Mario Gomez and his wife Destiny. Her brother in law Chris and his wife Hannah Barrow and sister in law Kelly and husband Trevor Scherlen and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her father Vincente Gomez, a sister - Christina Hammett, a great niece Cecilia St. Clare Gibson.The family will be at 1805 E 13th ..
