Richard Bush, 96, died Monday, August 6, 2012 in Hartley, TexasServices were held at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXOfficiating will be Rusty Hancock, Pastor, Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX . Richard A. Bush was born on November 26, 1915 in Milburn, TX to R.W. and Pearl (Coil) Bush. He and his family moved to the Sedan, NM community in 1922. Richard graduated from Sedan High School. A WWII Veteran, he joined the Army in February 1942 and served 39 months overseas in the pacific as a Staff Sergeant. Mr. Bush worked for the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation for 30 years, retiring in 1977. He lived in Dalhart since 1945. Richard married Trevious Imogene Doss in 1946.Richard is survived by his daughter Deena Parker of Dalhart, TX and a brother Odis Allan Bush of Hot Spring Village, AR. 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildrenPreceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 sons, and 1 daughter and 1 granddaughter.Memorials to - Loreto on the Plains - P.O.
