Reva Lois Crabtree, 87, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Dalhart, TXA Private family memorial service will be held at a later date.Reva was born Oct. 19, 1926 in Ponca City, Oklahomato Guy and Esta Miller and she grew up in the Meade, Kansas area.She lived many years in the Arkansas Valley area of Colorado beforemoving to Boise City, Oklahoma in the early 70s.Reva enjoyed working as a waitress, but she also owned Reva's 66 Cafe,the Montgomery Wards catalog store and ran the VFW in Boise City.She loved to crochet, garden and read, but most of all spending time withfamily and friends. She also loved exploring the Kenton area and justspending time enjoying nature.She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, MelvinaCrawford. Also by brothers, Guy Miller, Archie Miller, sister-in-law Lorraine Miller and brother-in-law Joe Smith.Survivors include two sons, Richard (Ida) Bauer, Jim (Gina) Bauer, twodaughters, Kay (Harvey) Isaacs and Sherri (Steve) Scott and son-in-lawDavid Crawford, sisters Dalton Miller, Nila Smith and sister-in-law AnitaMiller. 10 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces andnephews. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Coon Memorial NursingHome, Dr Herring, PA Bruce Shubert and The Dalhart Hospice nurses fortheir wonderful care to Reva. Also, many sincere thanks to the doctorsand nurses at Cimarron Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma Home Care staff, andthe Boise City Meals on Wheels program for helping her to stay safelyand happily in her home as long as possible.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donationsbe made to American Cancer Society, the Lupus Foundation of America or theDalhart Hospice program.
