Raymon Lucero, 67, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Amarillo, TX. Services were held Monday, May 11, 2009 at 1:00 pm at St. Anthonys Catholic Church with Deacon Ron Hein officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas.Survivors include his wife Norma J. Lucero of Dalhart, TX 2 sons: Mike and his wife Cecillia Lucero of Dalhart, TX and Ray Lucero of Dalhart, TX a daughter Eloisa Lucero and Leo Leal of Dalhart, TXGrandchildren: Adam, Amber Garcia and family, Eveangelina, Brandon Aduddell and family, Paul and Lilly Lucero and family, David Lucero and family, Ariel, Nathanial, Olivia Lucero, Sylvia, Aaron and Samuel LuceroBrothers: Juan and Pat Lucero of Raton, NM, Tony Sisneros of Raton, Mike and Veronica Lucero of Raton, NM , Manuel and Juanita Lucero of Raton, NM, Phillip Lucero of Albuquerque, NM. Sisters: Susie Lucero of Clovis, NM and Linda Benavidez of Albuquerque, NM Ray served his country in the US Army for 8 years and was in the Active Reserve for two years. Ray worked at Coronado Feeders for 32 years as the assistant mill manager. He loved to work on and drive his 55 Chevy and race in the cruisers races. He also loved to be with family and friends, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved to go to Red River for vacations. Ray loved his wife and family very much. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
