Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 28, 2011 at United Pentecostal Church Rev. Roger Johnson officiating burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his sons: Jimmy and his wife Revice of Amarillo, TX, Donald and his wife Robin of Midland, TX. Three grandsons Nathan, Brian and Austin Ruppanner and three great-grandchildren
Ray was born on December 27, 1918 in Griggs, Oklahoma to John Gotlieb and Anna Marie (Peters) Ruppanner. He moved to Dalhart in 1924 and attended school and later went to work for a bakery. Ray then went to work for the railroad, before he joined the Army. While in the Army he was assigned to cooking and baking duty and was even sent to baking school. After he was discharged, he returned to Dalhart and to his job at the railroad. He married Anna Stewart on September 11, 1949. Anna died in 2006. Ray loved fishing, keeping a pretty yard, cooking and baking. He loved his Church and gospel music.
