Raymond G. Encinias, 71, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Dalhart, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Newlife, Dalhart, Texas. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Ray was born to Cleo (Fuentes) and Reynaldo Encinias in Dalhart, Texas on Tuesday, June 21, 1949. He attended Dalhart schools and later married Erin OBrien. They raised their family in Dalhart and Ray opened Rays Windshield Detail and Lube (with $10 in his pocket) and turned it into a successful local business. Ray enjoyed being outside whether it be camping or yard work, he also enjoyed playing pool and visiting the casino. He loved spending time with his family and cooking for them. He was a hard worker and took pride in providing for his family. Ray is survived by two daughters: Kimberly Hall of Amarillo, TX and Mindy Basaldua and husband Andy of Dalhart, TX, two sons: Jessie Encinias of Dalhart, TX and Patrick Encinias and wife Heather of Liberal, KS, eight grandchildren: Jessica Hall, Brooke Hall, Jovana Valdez, Crista Encinias, Adam Basaldua, Destiney Basaldua, Savannah Medina, Nate Encinias and Cheyan Woods, seven great grandchildren, three siblings: Carl Encinias, Maxine Montoya and Bobby Velasquez and a very large extended family. Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Erin (OBrien) Encinias, his parents, Cleo and Reynaldo Encinias, brother, Paul Encinias and sister Rebecca Montano.
